Heavy
Been feeling heavy,
Of heart and body.
Cumbersome thoughts
Weigh down on me,
And a constant,
Throbbing headache,
Filled with
Wordy noise, and
Dark thoughts,
Rob me of that
Desperately needed sleep,
And blissful, envied peace.
Bony joints feel out of whack,
Stiff and pain-filled,
Muscles sore to the touch.
Once so lithe and light,
Able to dance
The blues away,
Now bogged down,
By vicious hands of time,
Pushing down on me,
And a black residue
Of unresolved grief,
And trapped, dark memories,
Ready to rise up and out
Of this heavy body.
